A CASE OF HYDRO-URETERO-NEPHROSIS

A 35 years old male patient visited Hariom Homoeopathic Clinic, Haldwani with chief complaints of pricking pain in lumbar region and intermittent flow during micturition. He also complained of burning pain while urinating.

USG REVEALED:

KIDNEYS
Both kidneys are normal in size and cortical echotexture.However few small (less than 5.0 mms ) calculi are aeen in renal sinus on both sides.
PCS of left side is mildly dilated.

URETERS
Left ureter is mildly dilated up to UVJ, Where a calculus of approx. 8.0mms size is lodged.

FINAL IMPRESSION
BILATERAL SMALL RENAL CALCULI
HYDRO-URETERO-NEPHROSIS LEFT SIDE DUE TO UVJ CALCULUS.

Individualized homoeopathic medicine was prescribed.
23 JAN 2009

Pricking pain is replaced by a dull aching pain.
Normal flow during micturition without burning pain.


14 JUL 2009

USG REVEALS:

KIDNEYS
Both the kidneys are normal in size and cortical echotexture.
The collecting system of the kidneys is normal and cortico-medullary demarcation is clear.

URETERS
The upper parts of both the ureters are normal.
The vesico-ureteric junctions are normal.

FINAL IMPRESSION
NO SIGNIFICANT SONOLOGICAL ABNORMALITY SEEN.
